Mohammed Siraj Meets Telangana DGP CV Anand Following DSP Appointment

Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj met Telangana Director General of Police CV Anand at the State Police Headquarters in Hyderabad following his appointment as a Deputy Superintendent of Police in the Telangana Police. The meeting was held as part of official protocol.

During the interaction, DGP Anand reflected on Siraj’s cricketing journey and recalled watching him during his early days in Hyderabad. He said former Hyderabad cricketer and selector Abdul Azeem had introduced Siraj’s talent to him around 2013 and encouraged him to watch the young pacer in action.

According to Anand, Siraj quickly progressed through domestic cricket after being given opportunities in league competitions. His impressive pace and accuracy helped him move from two day league matches to longer format domestic cricket before earning his Ranji Trophy debut.

The DGP noted that Siraj’s outstanding performance in the 2016 and 2017 Ranji Trophy season, where he claimed 41 wickets, proved to be a turning point in his career. From there, the Hyderabad fast bowler steadily established himself as a key member of India’s pace attack across all three international formats.
