CISF Kathua Shooting: CISF Head Constable Opens Fire in Kathua, Four Personnel Killed
A shooting inside a CISF camp in Kathua left four security personnel dead after a head constable allegedly opened fire following an argument with colleagues.
CISF Kathua Shooting: A shooting at a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) camp in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district has left four personnel dead. The incident took place at the CISF camp near the Seva 2 Hydel Project.
According to the preliminary information, an argument broke out between head constable Abdesh Kumar and other personnel at the camp. The situation reportedly escalated when Kumar allegedly opened fire with an AK 47.
The four personnel killed in the incident have been identified as Assistant Command Level Officer Ankit Kumar Pandey, Sub Inspector Laxman Singh, Constable Sanjay Kumar and Constable Mohammad Rafi.
The shooting was reported from the camp while the personnel were on duty. Police reached the location after receiving information and started examining the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The CISF has also initiated an internal inquiry. Investigators are looking into the events that led to the argument and the subsequent firing.
