Vivo V80 Lite 5G has launched in Malaysia with a 10000mAh battery, 1.5K AMOLED display, Dimensity 7300e processor, 50MP Sony camera and IP68 and IP69 protection.

Vivo has officially expanded its V80 Lite 5G lineup to the Malaysian market after several reports and leaks surrounding the smartphone. The new model stands out mainly for its unusually large 10000mAh battery, while the company has also focused on display quality, camera hardware and durability.

The smartphone arrives with a 6.83 inch AMOLED panel offering 1.5K resolution and high brightness. Under the hood, it uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e processor and comes with up to 8GB of physical RAM and 256GB of storage.

The Vivo V80 Lite 5G is available in three memory configurations, including 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, 6GB RAM with 256GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. The device also supports up to 16GB of virtual RAM.

For the Malaysian market, Vivo has introduced the phone in Afterglow Pink, Emerald Green and Dawn Black colour options. The device is listed through Vivo’s official Malaysian website, with the reported price set at RM9,999.00.

Display And Performance

The phone features a 6.83 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800 by 1260 pixels. The 1.5K panel is designed to provide sharper visuals, while its high brightness should make the screen easier to view in different lighting conditions.

Vivo has also included TÜV certification for reduced blue light exposure. This adds to the phone’s focus on display comfort for everyday use.

Powering the handset is the Dimensity 7300e chipset. It is paired with up to 8GB RAM and UFS 3.1 storage of up to 256GB. The phone runs Android 16 with Vivo’s OriginOS 6 interface out of the box.

The combination gives the V80 Lite 5G a modern software platform along with hardware aimed at everyday multitasking, entertainment and 5G connectivity.

Camera Setup

Photography is another major part of the Vivo V80 Lite 5G. The rear camera system includes a 50MP Sony main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. It is accompanied by a 2MP secondary camera with an f/2.4 aperture and an LED flash.

The camera application includes several shooting options, including portrait, night, video, high resolution, panorama, document, slow motion, time lapse, professional and food modes.

On the front, the phone carries a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. Vivo has also used an aspheric lens design on the device, which is intended to help control distortion and improve image clarity.

Battery Is The Biggest Highlight

The 10000mAh battery is easily the most noticeable feature of the Vivo V80 Lite 5G. A battery of this size is aimed at users who want longer usage between charging sessions.

Vivo has paired the large battery with 44W fast charging. The phone also supports reverse wired charging, allowing it to provide power to another compatible device when required.

The large battery does add to the overall weight of the handset. The phone measures 163.90 by 76.50 by 8.59mm and weighs around 224 grams.

Durability And Connectivity

Vivo has given the V80 Lite 5G IP68 and IP69 ratings for protection against dust and water under the applicable testing conditions. This makes durability another notable part of the phone’s specification sheet.

For security, the handset comes with an optical fingerprint scanner built into the display.

Connectivity options include dual band WiFi supporting 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC and a USB Type C port based on USB 2.0. The phone also supports 5G connectivity.

With its large battery, high resolution AMOLED screen, Sony camera sensor and strong water and dust resistance ratings, the Vivo V80 Lite 5G is positioned as a feature focused smartphone in the Malaysian market.

The company has not indicated in the provided details when this particular model will reach India. Buyers waiting for an Indian launch will therefore need to wait for an official announcement regarding local availability and pricing.
