Vivo S2 FE India Launch Set for October 6

Vivo is preparing to introduce the S2 FE in India, and the company has now confirmed the launch date for the new smartphone. The device is scheduled to arrive on October 6 and will be sold through Flipkart.

The upcoming phone has already started appearing on a Flipkart promotional page, giving buyers an early look at its design. The battery is expected to be one of the biggest highlights of the device, with Vivo reportedly preparing a 10000mAh battery for the S2 FE.

The launch date has been confirmed through the promotional microsite created for the smartphone. Vivo is also expected to reveal more details about the device as the launch approaches. The phone is being shown in a green finish, giving an early indication of one of the colour options.

The rear design follows a fairly clean approach. A square shaped camera module is placed towards the upper left corner of the back panel. The module houses two cameras along with an LED flash.

The smartphone has a flat rear panel and a flat frame, while the corners appear slightly rounded. The power button and volume controls are positioned on the right side. The left edge appears to remain largely clear.

Software will also be an important part of the Vivo S2 FE experience. The smartphone is expected to run on OriginOS, Vivo’s software platform. The company has not yet revealed every software feature that will be available on the Indian version.

The display is expected to be another major attraction. According to the leaked specifications, the Vivo S2 FE could feature a 6.83 inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is also tipped to offer a 1.5K resolution.

A 120Hz refresh rate should make everyday interactions such as scrolling and supported animations feel smoother. The larger screen could also make the phone suitable for watching videos, browsing websites and playing games.

Performance could come from a MediaTek Dimensity 7300e processor. The chipset is expected to handle regular applications as well as more demanding smartphone tasks, although actual performance will depend on Vivo’s software optimisation and the final configuration.

The phone is also tipped to include an in display fingerprint scanner. This would provide a convenient biometric unlocking option while keeping the front design free from a physical fingerprint sensor.

Battery capacity could be the defining feature of the Vivo S2 FE. The smartphone is expected to carry a 10000mAh battery, which would give it considerably more battery capacity than many mainstream smartphones.

Vivo is also expected to include fast charging support. The company has not yet confirmed the exact charging speed, so buyers will have to wait for the official announcement for complete charging details.

The large battery could make the S2 FE particularly interesting to users who spend long periods away from a charger. Heavy video consumption, gaming, navigation and mobile data usage can quickly drain smaller batteries, making capacity an important consideration for some buyers.

Pricing information has not been officially announced yet. Reports suggest that the Vivo S2 FE could be priced around Rs 40,000 in India. The final price, however, will depend on the storage variant and the company’s launch strategy.

The October 6 launch will also be notable because Vivo is expected to introduce the Vivo V80 on the same day. This gives the company an opportunity to expand its smartphone portfolio with multiple models aimed at different buyers.

For now, the Vivo S2 FE stands out because of its combination of a large battery, AMOLED display, high refresh rate and MediaTek processor. The green rear design and OriginOS software also give the upcoming smartphone a distinct identity.
