Poco M8 Power Launches in India With Huge 8000mAh Battery and 120Hz AMOLED Display

Poco has expanded its smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the new Poco M8 Power, a device that combines a large battery, capable performance and a feature packed display at a competitive price. Designed for users who want extended battery life without compromising on everyday performance, the smartphone will go on sale from August 7 through online and offline retail channels.

The biggest highlight of the Poco M8 Power is its massive 8000mAh silicon carbon battery, making it one of the largest batteries available in its segment. The phone supports 45W wired fast charging, allowing users to recharge quickly, while 22.5W wired reverse charging enables it to power compatible devices when needed. This makes the handset suitable for heavy users who spend long hours streaming, gaming or working on the go.

Poco has equipped the smartphone with a 6.83 inch Full HD Plus AMOLED display that delivers a smooth viewing experience with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen also supports a 240Hz touch sampling rate and reaches up to 1800 nits of peak brightness for improved outdoor visibility. Additional features include DCI P3 color gamut support, TÜV certified eye protection, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection and Wet Touch 2.0 technology for better responsiveness even with damp fingers. An in display fingerprint scanner is also included for convenient unlocking.

Powering the device is the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. The smartphone runs Xiaomi HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. Poco has also promised four years of Android version updates along with six years of security updates, offering long term software support that adds value for buyers planning to keep the phone for several years.

For photography, the Poco M8 Power features a dual rear camera setup led by a 50 megapixel primary sensor, supported by an AI camera for additional imaging functions. Poco has introduced the M8 Power in two memory variants. The 6GB RAM with 128GB storage model is priced at Rs 24999, while the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version costs Rs 27999. As part of the launch promotion, buyers can purchase these variants at effective prices of Rs 21999 and Rs 24999 respectively. The introductory offer includes a Rs 1000 coupon discount available during the first 12 hours of sale along with a Rs 2000 bank discount or exchange bonus.

The Poco M8 Power will be available in Black, Blaze Orange and Green color options.
