Motorola Edge 70 Neo India Launch Confirmed With 50MP Triple Camera

Motorola Edge 70 Neo is confirmed for India with a 1.5K OLED display, 50MP triple cameras, 5000mAh battery, fast charging and possible IP68 plus IP69 protection for Indian smartphone buyers.

Motorola has confirmed that the Edge 70 Neo is coming to India, giving smartphone buyers another model to look forward to in the Edge lineup. The announcement was made around the IFA 2026 event, where the company also showcased other new products.

The Edge 70 Neo is expected to sit below the recently introduced Edge 70 Plus, but the leaked specifications suggest that Motorola is still planning a feature packed device. Display quality, camera hardware, battery capacity and durability are among the areas where the upcoming phone could make a strong impression.

According to information shared by tipsters, the smartphone may feature a 6.3 inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. The screen is also expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate, which should provide smoother scrolling and a more responsive experience during everyday use.

The compact screen size could also make the Edge 70 Neo appealing to users who prefer a smaller smartphone without giving up higher resolution display technology. Motorola has not yet confirmed the complete display specifications.

Performance could come from the MediaTek Dimensity 7450 chipset. The processor is expected to handle everyday applications as well as demanding tasks, although Motorola has not officially revealed the final hardware configuration.

The camera setup is likely to be one of the biggest attractions of the phone. The Edge 70 Neo is tipped to feature three cameras on the rear, giving users different options for photography.

The main camera could use a 50 megapixel LYTIA 710 sensor with a reported 1/1.56 inch sensor size. A second 50 megapixel ultra wide camera is also expected, while the third camera could be a 10 megapixel telephoto lens.

The telephoto camera may offer 3x optical zoom, which would give the phone an advantage when photographing subjects from a distance. Optical zoom can also provide more useful results than relying entirely on digital zoom when capturing distant objects.

Motorola may also put a high resolution camera on the front. The Edge 70 Neo is reportedly expected to feature a 50 megapixel selfie camera for selfies and video calls.

Battery capacity is another area where the upcoming Motorola phone could appeal to buyers. The device is expected to carry a 5000mAh battery, with support for 68W fast charging.

Wireless charging may also be included. Reports suggest that the phone could support 15W wireless charging, although this feature has not been officially confirmed by Motorola yet.

Durability could be another highlight of the Edge 70 Neo. The smartphone is expected to receive IP68 and IP69 ratings, which would provide protection against dust and water under the conditions covered by those standards.

The software could also receive an early upgrade with Android 17 expected to be available out of the box. If confirmed, this would give the smartphone a newer software platform from the beginning rather than requiring an immediate major update after purchase.

The phone could be available in four colour options. Current information points to Pink, Dark Green, Light Green and Light Blue versions, although the final names and availability of each colour may vary by market.

Motorola recently introduced the Edge 70 Plus in addition to products such as the Moto Watch Ultra and Snap Wireless Charger. The company using the same event to confirm the Edge 70 Neo arrival in India suggests that the brand is expanding its Edge portfolio with more choices for different types of buyers.

At present, Motorola has confirmed the India arrival of the Edge 70 Neo, but the company has not provided all details about its launch date, price and availability. Several of the specifications currently circulating online also come from leaks and should therefore be treated as expected features until the official announcement.

If the reported specifications are accurate, the Edge 70 Neo could offer an interesting combination of a compact OLED display, high resolution cameras, optical zoom, a large battery, fast charging and strong water and dust protection.

The final price will be particularly important because the Edge 70 Neo is expected to compete in a crowded smartphone segment. More information from Motorola should reveal where the phone will sit within the companys Indian lineup and how aggressively it will be priced.
