Lava is getting ready to add another smartphone to its Virat lineup in India. The company has confirmed that the Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G will be launched on August 24, although its price has not been revealed yet.

The upcoming phone is expected to be sold through Flipkart. Lava has already started building interest around the device, while leaked details have provided an early look at its expected hardware and features.

The display could be one of the phone’s notable features. The Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G is expected to carry a 6.75 inch HD Plus LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The higher refresh rate should make scrolling and everyday animations feel smoother.

Performance could be handled by a Unisoc T8200 processor paired with a Mali G57 MC2 GPU. The phone may be offered with 6GB and 8GB RAM options, along with 128GB of internal storage. A microSD card could allow users to expand storage up to 1TB.

Photography is expected to be handled by a 50 megapixel AI powered dual rear camera system. The front camera specifications have not been revealed so far.

The smartphone may run Android 15 and offer support for 5G, WiFi, Bluetooth and a USB Type C port. A side mounted fingerprint sensor could also be included for device security.

Powering the device could be a battery with support for 18W charging. While the charging capacity is not particularly high compared with some current rivals, the overall package could appeal to buyers looking for an affordable 5G handset.

Lava recently introduced the Virat V1 4G and Virat V1 5G in India, making the Pro model the next expected addition to the series. The company is yet to confirm several specifications, so the final hardware could differ from the leaked information.

Meanwhile, Lava may also be preparing another device called the Virat Curve 5G. A handset believed to carry this name has reportedly appeared in the GSMA IMEI database with the model number LXX529. It is expected to feature a curved display, but Lava has not officially announced the phone.
