Lalaguda Couple Deaths: A tragic incident in Hyderabad’s Lalaguda area ended with a married couple dying within a short span of time, after the woman reportedly died by suicide and her husband later took his own life.
The woman, identified as Lakshmi, was found dead at her house in Vijayapuri Colony. Her husband, Charanappa, reportedly became deeply distressed after seeing her body and left the house.
Police said Charanappa later reached the railway bridge near Lalapet and died after coming under a moving train. The incident has left relatives and local residents shocked.
The couple had been married for around one and a half years. People living in the area said they had reportedly been having frequent disagreements, although the exact circumstances surrounding Lakshmi’s death have not yet been established.
Charanappa was earning a living by running a tea stall on a footpath in Nacharam. Police are examining whether financial difficulties, domestic disagreements or any other factors played a role in the incidents.
After receiving information about both deaths, Lalaguda Police and Secunderabad Railway Police began separate investigations. The bodies were shifted to the Gandhi Hospital mortuary, and the families and relatives were informed.
Cases have been registered in connection with the two deaths. Investigators are now gathering statements from relatives and people familiar with the couple to establish what happened before the incidents.
Police officials are also examining the sequence of events between Lakshmi’s death and Charanappa’s death, including his movements after leaving the house.
