Investment Fraud Exposed: A large scale investment fraud involving false promises of high returns from share market investments has come to light, leaving thousands of investors across the country facing significant financial losses. The alleged scam is believed to be worth hundreds of crores of rupees and has triggered investigations by law enforcement agencies.

The case surfaced after several victims approached the Cyberabad Economic Offences Wing with complaints. According to investigators, the accused convinced people that investing through his companies would generate attractive and assured monthly profits, encouraging them to invest substantial amounts of money.

Authorities identified Bhupal, a resident of Kandikonda village in Mahabubabad district, as the key figure behind the operation. He reportedly established a company named Shares Bazaar in Kondapur and promoted it as a legitimate investment platform. Investors were allegedly told that the company had regulatory approval and could provide fixed monthly returns on investments.

To expand the business, the organization reportedly operated a large call center with more than 150 employees. Through phone campaigns and online promotions, potential investors were persuaded to deposit funds into the scheme. The marketing efforts attracted participants from the Telugu states as well as several other parts of the country.

Believing the promises, many individuals invested amounts ranging from a few lakhs to several crores. Some victims reportedly sold agricultural land, property, and gold to raise money for the investments, expecting steady financial returns.

Problems began when payouts to investors were allegedly stopped in October 2025. As pressure from investors increased, complaints started emerging from different states. Victims claimed they were unable to recover their investments despite repeated attempts.

The alleged fraud has also attracted attention outside Telangana. Based on complaints from investors in Gujarat, police there registered a case and initiated an investigation. Authorities have reportedly issued lookout notices to prevent the accused from leaving the country while inquiries continue.

Investigators suspect that nearly ten thousand people across India may have been affected by the scheme. Officials are now examining financial records and investor transactions to determine the full scale of the alleged fraud.
