Kohli Returns to Form as RCB Crush KKR in IPL Clash
Virat Kohli delivered a spectacular century to help Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeat Kolkata Knight Riders by six wickets and strengthen their playoff hopes in IPL 2026.

The much awaited contest in Raipur turned in Bengaluru’s favour after Virat Kohli played one of his finest knocks of the season. Coming into the match after two disappointing scores, the senior batter responded in style and guided RCB to a comfortable chase.
Kolkata Knight Riders had entered the game with strong momentum after recovering from a poor beginning to the season. The team had won four matches in a row, but Bengaluru managed to stop their successful run with disciplined batting and calm execution under pressure.
RCB faced an early setback when Jacob Bethell lost his wicket after a quick 15 run contribution. Karthik Tyagi provided the breakthrough and briefly gave Kolkata some hope during the chase.
However, Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal changed the flow of the match with a massive partnership. The pair controlled the innings for several overs, rotating strike comfortably and punishing loose deliveries. Their stand pushed Bengaluru closer to victory and reduced pressure on the middle order.
Tyagi later picked up important wickets to make the game slightly competitive again, but Kohli stayed focused till the end. His century became the biggest highlight of the night as Bengaluru registered their eighth win of the tournament and moved closer to confirming a playoff spot.
