Cricket Legend Sir Garfield Sobers Passes Away at 89

Born in Barbados, Sobers made his first class debut at just 16 before earning a place in the West Indies national team the following year. In 1958, he scored an unbeaten 365 against Pakistan, setting a world record for the highest individual Test score at the time. He also became the first player to hit six sixes in a single over in first class cricket, a milestone that secured his place among the game’s all time greats.
