Restaurant Style Paneer Tikka Recipe You Can Make at Home in Just 10 Minutes

Prepare delicious restaurant style paneer tikka at home using simple ingredients and a regular pan for a smoky flavorful snack that is quick easy and perfect for any occasion

Paneer tikka is one of the most popular starters served at restaurants, family gatherings, and celebrations. Its crispy outer layer, soft and juicy paneer, and rich smoky flavor make it a favorite among food lovers. While many people believe it can only be prepared in a tandoor or oven, you can achieve a similar taste at home using a regular frying pan in just a few minutes.

The secret to a delicious paneer tikka lies in the marinade. A flavorful mixture allows the spices to coat the paneer evenly, giving every bite a rich taste and attractive color. With a few pantry ingredients and fresh vegetables, you can recreate restaurant style paneer tikka without any special equipment.

To prepare this recipe, take 250 grams of paneer cut into large cubes. You will also need half a cup of thick hung curd, one chopped capsicum, one onion, and one tomato cut into large pieces. Other ingredients include two tablespoons of roasted gram flour, one teaspoon of ginger garlic paste, Kashmiri red chili powder, red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, kasuri methi, chaat masala, lemon juice, salt, and two tablespoons of mustard oil or ghee.

Begin by adding the thick hung curd to a large mixing bowl. Mix in the roasted gram flour, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, Kashmiri chili powder for color, turmeric, garam masala, kasuri methi, chaat masala, lemon juice, and salt. Finally, add slightly heated mustard oil or ghee and mix everything into a smooth marinade. This step helps create the rich aroma and authentic restaurant style flavor.

Add the paneer cubes along with the chopped onion, capsicum, and tomato to the prepared marinade. Gently coat every piece without breaking the paneer. Allow the mixture to rest for at least 10 to 15 minutes. If you have extra time, refrigerating it for around 20 minutes helps the flavors penetrate deeper into the paneer.

Once marinated, thread the paneer and vegetables alternately onto skewers. Heat a flat pan or frying pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or oil. Place the skewers on the pan and cook them while turning occasionally so every side cooks evenly.

Cook the paneer for about five to seven minutes until all sides develop a light golden brown color with slightly crisp edges. Avoid cooking for too long, as overcooking may make the paneer firm instead of soft.

Serve the hot paneer tikka with mint chutney, onion rings, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice for the best flavor. It makes an excellent evening snack, party starter, or side dish for family dinners. With minimal preparation time and everyday kitchen ingredients, this homemade recipe delivers the taste and texture of restaurant style paneer tikka right from your own kitchen.
