A disturbing case of domestic violence from Maharashtra’s Pune district has sparked outrage after a woman alleged that her husband attacked her with acid and kept her confined inside their home for over two weeks without medical treatment.

According to police officials, the incident reportedly took place on April 20 when the accused returned home in an intoxicated condition and started arguing with his wife. When the victim tried to escape from the house, he allegedly locked the doors and continued the assault.
