NEET Telegram Restrictions: With the NEET Re Exam approaching, authorities have introduced Telegram Restrictions across India as part of efforts to prevent misinformation and examination related fraud. The move comes after the controversy surrounding alleged paper leaks sparked nationwide concern and demands for stronger safeguards.

The National Testing Agency has welcomed the decision, stating that the Telegram Restrictions are intended to stop the spread of false claims, manipulated content, and misleading information linked to the NEET Re Exam. Officials believe the measures will help maintain public confidence in the examination process.

According to the agency, access to Telegram has been temporarily restricted until June 22. In addition, the message editing feature on the platform has reportedly been disabled in India until June 30. Authorities say the decision was taken following recommendations from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

Investigators found that some Telegram channel administrators were allegedly editing old posts after examinations and attaching question papers to create the impression that a paper leak had occurred. Officials claim these altered posts were being circulated as fake evidence, leading to confusion among students and parents.

The NEET Re Exam is scheduled to be conducted on June 21, and authorities are taking extra precautions to ensure a smooth and transparent process. Officials emphasized that preventing misinformation is just as important as maintaining physical security at examination centers.

Cybercrime agencies have also intensified their monitoring efforts. Several suspicious Telegram groups and channels have reportedly been removed, while law enforcement agencies in multiple states have launched awareness campaigns to educate students about online scams connected to examination papers.

In Ahmedabad, police recently arrested members of an interstate group accused of using Telegram to deceive students with false promises related to examination papers. Authorities have urged candidates not to trust anyone claiming to have access to leaked question papers.

Officials stated that the Telegram Restrictions are temporary and will be reviewed after the examination period. Students have been advised to rely only on official notifications and avoid paying money or sharing personal information with individuals claiming to offer access to NEET Re Exam materials.
