Mumbai PM Modi Security Alert: Security arrangements around Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming event in Mumbai came under scrutiny after police detained two men near the venue.

The incident took place at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in the Bandra Kurla Complex, where Modi was scheduled to attend an event on Tuesday. Security had been tightened in and around the venue ahead of his visit.

According to police, security personnel noticed a 24 year old man, identified as Rohan Parekh, behaving suspiciously near the event location. He was stopped and questioned by the authorities.

During the questioning, Parekh reportedly claimed that he worked for the Prime Minister’s Office. However, the identity card he produced was examined by the police and was allegedly found to be fake.

Another man was with Parekh at the time. Police were told that the second person was his bodyguard. Officers later found a firearm in his possession and took him into custody along with Parekh.

Investigators are now examining the two men’s mobile phones, identity documents and other belongings. Police are also trying to establish how they reached the high security venue and what they intended to do there.

The use of a fake PMO identity card has become a key part of the investigation. Authorities are also looking into why the second man was carrying a firearm and whether the two had any specific reason for approaching the event venue.

The incident occurred shortly before the Prime Minister’s scheduled programme, prompting security agencies to take the matter seriously. Further details are expected as the investigation continues.
