Lucknow Fire Tragedy: A heartbreaking fire tragedy in Lucknow has left the nation mourning after a blaze swept through a coaching and training facility, resulting in the deaths of several young students. The incident also left a number of others injured, many of whom are currently receiving medical treatment.
The emotional impact of the disaster was evident when Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak visited the site and later addressed the media. Struggling to hold back tears, he described the scene as one of the most painful moments he had witnessed. He said he personally saw the bodies of several victims and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of so many young lives.
According to officials, the facility was being used by teenagers who had enrolled in animation and creative learning programs during their vacation period. Many students were inside the building when the fire broke out and rapidly spread through the structure.
Authorities stated that as flames intensified, students rushed toward the rear side of the building in an attempt to escape. However, thick smoke quickly filled the premises, making evacuation extremely difficult. The presence of wooden furniture inside the centre reportedly contributed to the rapid spread of smoke and fire.
Rescue teams worked continuously to search the building and assist survivors. Injured students were shifted to a trauma centre for emergency treatment. Officials confirmed that multiple victims had been recovered from the site, while investigations continue into the circumstances that led to the disaster.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the tragedy and announced financial assistance for the families of those who lost their lives. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also conveyed condolences and ordered a detailed inquiry into the incident.
The tragedy has once again raised concerns about fire safety measures in educational and commercial buildings, with many calling for stricter inspections and improved emergency preparedness to prevent similar incidents in the future.
