Chandrababu to Ride Bicycle in Visakhapatnam to Promote Environmental Awareness

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has announced that he will travel by bicycle during his upcoming visit to Visakhapatnam as part of a campaign to spread awareness about environmental protection and sustainable living.

Ahead of World Environment Day, the Chief Minister called upon citizens to actively participate in efforts aimed at protecting natural resources and reducing environmental damage. He emphasized that safeguarding nature is a shared responsibility and urged people to adopt eco friendly habits in their daily lives.

Sharing his message through social media, Chandrababu highlighted the importance of preserving air, water and soil from pollution. He said environmental conservation must become a collective movement involving every section of society.

The Chief Minister also encouraged people to use bicycles and electric bicycles on June 5 as a symbolic gesture to support cleaner transportation and reduce dependence on conventional fuel based vehicles. He noted that small changes in lifestyle can contribute significantly to protecting the environment.

As part of the initiative, Chandrababu announced that he would personally ride a bicycle during his Visakhapatnam tour to demonstrate his commitment to the cause and inspire greater public participation. He expressed hope that the gesture would help spread awareness about the importance of sustainable practices.

He further appealed to citizens to plant at least one sapling and contribute to increasing green cover across the state. According to him, expanding greenery and conserving natural resources are essential for ensuring a healthier future for coming generations.

The Chief Minister stressed that responsible use of energy resources and environmental protection should become long term priorities. He urged people from all walks of life to join the movement and support activities that promote ecological balance and sustainable development.

With World Environment Day serving as the backdrop, the planned bicycle ride is expected to reinforce the message of environmental responsibility and encourage more people to take part in green initiatives across Andhra Pradesh.
