Pawan Kalyan’s Panja is drawing an unexpected response ahead of its re release, with strong advance bookings across India and overseas markets despite its original box office failure.
Panja is getting a very different response from audiences ahead of its theatrical re release. The Pawan Kalyan starrer, which struggled at the box office during its original run, has now become a major talking point among fans preparing to watch it on the big screen again.

The response is particularly notable because Panja was not a successful theatrical outing when it originally released. The film opened reasonably well but suffered a sharp drop after receiving negative word of mouth. Its original theatrical run reportedly ended with a share of around Rs 18 crore.
Over the years, however, Panja has developed a different following, particularly among younger viewers. Its style, presentation and Pawan Kalyan’s screen presence have helped the film gain renewed attention, eventually leading to strong demand for a theatrical re release.
The overseas response has also surprised fans and trade observers. Advance bookings from the United States and other international markets are adding significant momentum, showing the continued strength of Pawan Kalyan’s overseas fan base.
Trade circles are now watching the first day collections closely. Gabbar Singh currently holds the record for the highest first day gross among Pawan Kalyan’s re released films. Matching that mark may be difficult for Panja, but the current booking trend has led to expectations that it could finish among the top three re release openers.
The real picture will become clearer once the film reaches theatres and the final ticket sales start coming in. For now, Panja has already turned its re release into one of the most closely watched events among Pawan Kalyan fans.
