OTT Releases This Week: The OTT line-up for this week has something for different kinds of viewers. From romantic dramas and crime stories to comedy and international series, several new titles are arriving between August 17 and 23.

One of the releases attracting attention is Chennai Love Story, starring Kiran Abbavaram and Sree Gouri Priya. The romantic entertainer will begin streaming on SonyLIV from August 21 in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.

The story follows Nivi, a young woman dealing with heartbreak. She travels to Chennai hoping to move on from a difficult phase in her life. Her plans take an unexpected turn when Steven Shankar enters her life. What happens between them forms the main part of the story.

Ravi Namburi has directed the film, with Sai Rajesh associated with the writing. SKN and Sai Rajesh have produced the project, while Mani Sharma has composed the music.

Netflix also has a busy week ahead. Pyaar Prem Kalyanam, a Tamil romantic drama featuring Telugu actor Shanvi Meghana, is scheduled to stream from August 21. The film is directed by Elan and will be available in Telugu, Tamil and other South Indian languages.

The platform is also adding Facing El Chapo, a Spanish crime drama, on August 21. Among the series arriving during the week are Take a Hike, Love Is Blind: UK Season 3, Pre Fall: A Reckoning for Boeing, Outer Banks Season 5, Blood Sacrifice and S and X.

JioHotstar is also joining the list with international favourites. Lanterns, the HBO series set within the DC Universe, has already started streaming on the platform from August 17. The popular comedy series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is another addition for viewers.

With releases spread across romance, crime, horror, comedy and superhero content, OTT viewers have several choices lined up this week. For those planning to stay in over the weekend, there is no shortage of new content to pick from.
