Yadagirigutta Donor Policy: Yadagirigutta Plans Tirumala Style Donor Privilege Policy
Yadagirigutta temple authorities are considering a donor privilege policy modelled on Tirumala, offering facilities to contributors while raising funds for major development works across the temple complex and pilgrim facilities.
Yadagirigutta Donor Policy: The Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple is looking at a new way to involve devotees and donors in its development plans. Temple authorities are working on a donor privilege policy based on the system followed at Tirumala. The proposal is aimed at encouraging contributions while providing certain facilities and recognition to donors.
A dedicated donor cell is also being planned to coordinate the initiative. Officials recently visited Tirumala to study how the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) manages its donor programme, including the facilities offered based on contribution levels and the way donations are handled.
The proposed system comes as the Yadagirigutta temple authorities prepare several development projects requiring substantial funding. The plans cover areas such as pilgrim amenities, Annadanam facilities, Go Seva, temple landscaping and solar power infrastructure.
Among the proposals are new mandapams, a Vedic school at the Temple City, a model goshala and improvements to the Annadanam building. Officials are also considering a 4 MW solar grid to meet the power requirements of temple buildings and parking areas.
Other works include an entrance arch and signboards along the Raigiri Yadagirigutta road, statues at five major junctions near the hill and additional Kalyana Katta facilities for devotees. A pilgrim amenities centre is also proposed near the bus stand on the hilltop.
Plans have also been drawn up for a canopy along the steps leading from Vaikuntha Dwaram to the hilltop, along with Shanku Chakra structures, Tirunamams, solar fencing, parking facilities and rental accommodation at the foothill.
The estimated cost of the proposed development works is around ₹177.69 crore. Officials are looking at a funding model in which donations from devotees and organisations would be combined with government funding.
The proposed donor cell is expected to oversee the collection, safeguarding and utilisation of contributions, with proper monitoring at each stage. A final decision could be taken at the upcoming meeting of the Yadagirigutta temple governing board.
The initiative is still under consideration, and officials are expected to announce the detailed donor privilege structure after the policy receives approval.
