Telangana Temperatures: El Nino Effect Pushes Temperatures Higher Across Telangana
Telangana is witnessing above normal temperatures as El Nino conditions contribute to warmer weather, with several districts recording readings several degrees above their seasonal average levels.
Telangana Temperatures: Temperatures have started climbing across Telangana, and the change is being felt in several districts. In some areas, the mercury is already three to four degrees above the usual level.
Nizamabad and Mahabubnagar recorded maximum temperatures of around 35 degrees Celsius. The erstwhile Khammam district was not far behind, with temperatures touching 34 degrees.
Hyderabad also had a warmer day than usual on Sunday. The city normally records around 31.8 degrees Celsius, but the temperature went up to 34 degrees.
There may be little relief over the next couple of days. The weather department expects temperatures to rise by another two degrees in some parts of the state.
The present conditions have been linked to the El Nino effect. Changes associated with El Nino can influence weather patterns, including temperature and rainfall, over wider regions.
What stands out this time is that the warmer conditions are being recorded in different parts of Telangana. Afternoon temperatures, in particular, have remained higher than normal.
For residents in the hotter districts, the coming days could bring more heat during the afternoon. Conditions will not be exactly the same everywhere, as local weather factors can make a difference.
The temperature trend is also being watched from an agricultural point of view. A continued rise in heat, along with changes in rainfall, could have a bearing on farming conditions in the state.
For now, there is no indication that the temperatures will ease immediately. The readings recorded over the next two days will be important in determining how the weather develops across Telangana.
