RTC Bus Accident in Kamareddy: A road accident in Kamareddy district claimed the life of an RTC bus driver after the vehicle overturned on a national highway in Jukkal mandal.
The bus was travelling from Hyderabad towards Bichkunda when it reportedly hit the wall of a culvert and overturned. Police said there were 13 passengers on board at the time of the accident.
The impact left the driver trapped inside the bus. He died at the scene before he could be rescued.
Several passengers suffered injuries in the crash. They were taken to the hospital in Bichkunda, where they were given medical treatment. Details about the condition of the injured were not immediately available.
After receiving information about the accident, Banswada DSP reached the spot and inspected the scene. Rescue personnel worked to remove the driver’s body from the damaged bus.
Police are looking into the circumstances that led to the accident. The crash caused concern in the area as rescue and medical teams attended to the injured passengers.
The incident has once again raised concerns over road safety on the highway, while authorities continue to gather details about what happened before the bus hit the culvert wall.
