Heavy Rain Alert Issued for Telangana as IMD Warns of Three Days of Wet Weather
The India Meteorological Department has forecast widespread rainfall across Telangana with heavy showers strong winds and weather alerts issued for several districts over the next three days.

Telangana is likely to witness an active spell of monsoon weather over the next three days, prompting the India Meteorological Department to issue weather alerts across several districts. Authorities have warned that heavy rainfall, gusty winds and thunderstorms could affect normal life in many parts of the state.
The latest forecast attributes the changing weather to the influence of active monsoon systems over the region. Meteorologists expect these conditions to trigger moderate to heavy rainfall in several districts, while isolated areas could experience intense downpours accompanied by thunder and lightning.
Orange alerts have been issued for Kamareddy, Medchal Malkajgiri, Medak and Sangareddy districts, where heavy rainfall is considered more likely. In addition, Yellow alerts remain in effect for Hyderabad and eighteen other districts, indicating the possibility of light to moderate rain with occasional thunderstorms.
Officials have cautioned that wind speeds may reach between thirty and forty kilometres per hour in some locations. Such conditions could result in waterlogging in low lying areas, traffic disruptions, temporary power interruptions and damage caused by falling tree branches.
Residents have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel during periods of heavy rain and remain indoors whenever possible. Motorists, especially those using two wheelers, have been urged to drive carefully because roads may become slippery and visibility could reduce during intense showers.
Authorities have also advised farmers and outdoor workers to remain alert during thunderstorms and avoid open fields when lightning activity is reported. Disaster response teams have been kept on standby to provide assistance in vulnerable areas, while local civic agencies are monitoring the situation to respond quickly to any weather related emergencies.
