BRS Statewide Protests: BRS Calls for Statewide Protests Over Assembly Entry
The BRS has called for statewide protests after its MLAs and MLCs were stopped at the Assembly gates, accusing the Telangana government of restricting their entry during the session today.

BRS Statewide Protests: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi has called for protests across Telangana after its legislators were stopped from entering the Assembly premises on Monday.
The incident took place soon after the Assembly session began in the morning. BRS MLAs and MLCs arrived wearing black T shirts carrying slogans, but police objected to their entry in that attire.
The situation soon turned into a protest at the Assembly gates. Harish Rao and several other BRS legislators removed their T shirts and continued their demonstration while wearing vests.
BRS leaders accused the government of deliberately preventing their members from entering the Assembly. They said the treatment meted out to the party’s legislators at the gates was unacceptable.
Following the incident, the BRS leadership asked its cadre and leaders to hold protests at different locations across the state. The party wants the issue to be raised through demonstrations against what it described as restrictions imposed on its legislators.
The confrontation came as the Telangana Assembly began its proceedings, adding another political flashpoint to the ongoing session.
