Army Recruitment Telangana: Telangana Youth to Get Training for Army Recruitment, Says Revanth Reddy

Army Recruitment Telangana: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has discussed ways to help more young people from the state join the Indian Army during a meeting with Lieutenant General C Rajesh Pushkar.

Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar, General Officer Commanding in Chief of the Indian Army Southern Command, met the Chief Minister as part of a courtesy visit. During the meeting, Revanth Reddy said the state government was ready to work with the Army to encourage Telangana youth to take part in various recruitment drives.

The Chief Minister suggested setting up training programmes at suitable district headquarters where there is strong interest among local youngsters. The aim is to give candidates better preparation before Army recruitment exercises and make opportunities more accessible to those living outside major cities.

Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar responded positively to the proposal. He expressed his willingness to support the establishment of training centres at district headquarters in Telangana ahead of recruitment drives conducted across the country.

The meeting also covered the Army’s role during natural disasters. Revanth Reddy requested greater support in flood affected areas, particularly for rescue operations, shifting people to safer locations and rehabilitation efforts.

Rajesh Pushkar assured the Chief Minister that local Army authorities would be asked to take a more active role whenever Telangana faces serious disaster situations. The discussion focused on improving coordination between the state administration and military teams during emergencies.

The Moosi River rejuvenation project was another subject discussed during the meeting. Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar appreciated the state government’s efforts and said restoring the river would be important for protecting Hyderabad, reducing pollution and bringing back the historic character of the city.

The meeting brought together officials from both the state government and the Army to discuss youth employment opportunities, emergency response and major development initiatives in Telangana.

Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, Major General Srinivas Rao and other senior Army officials were also present during the meeting.
