1,000 Bed TIMS Hospital Opens Today: 1,000 Bed TIMS Hospital to Open in Hyderabad Today

Hyderabad’s new 1,000 bed super speciality hospital will begin public services today as Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is set to formally inaugurate Dr MCR TIMS at Sanathnagar.

1,000 Bed TIMS Hospital Opens Today: The Dr MCR Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) at Sanathnagar in Hyderabad is ready to open its doors to the public today. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will formally inaugurate the super speciality hospital at 4:30 pm.

Built across 22.6 acres, the hospital was completed at a cost of around Rs 1,100 crore. The facility has 1,000 beds and five blocks equipped with modern medical infrastructure.

The hospital had already undergone a trial phase before the official opening. Day-care services were also tested, with around 250 patients receiving treatment each day during the initial operations.

Medical staff are now prepared to begin regular services. Doctors and other personnel transferred from Gandhi Hospital, Osmania General Hospital and NIMS will work at the facility. Around 200 newly recruited medical staff have also been brought in.

Former Director of Medical Education Dr A Narendra Kumar has been appointed as the in-charge director of TIMS Sanathnagar. Former Additional Director of Medical Education Dr Mahboob Khan will serve as the in-charge superintendent.

Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha reviewed the inauguration arrangements at the hospital on Sunday. He inspected various departments and directed officials to ensure that visitors, patients, doctors, media personnel and public representatives do not face inconvenience during the event.

The minister also stressed the importance of coordination between the police and other departments, particularly for security arrangements. He said the opening of Dr MCR TIMS is an important development for Telangana’s healthcare sector and asked all departments to work together.

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and ministers Damodar Rajanarsimha, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Ponnam Prabhakar are expected to attend the inauguration.

Health department Principal Secretary Dr Christina and Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare Dr Sangeetha Satyanarayana were also present during the minister’s review.

With its 1,000-bed capacity, specialist services and expanded medical workforce, Sanathnagar TIMS is expected to become an important healthcare facility for Hyderabad and nearby areas.
