Hyderabad Road Accident: A road accident near Hyderabad’s Inorbit Mall has led to a police case against Lingamaneni Sanjoosh, son of Andhra Pradesh Rajya Sabha MP Lingamaneni Ramesh. The case follows the death of a 26 year old woman who was struck by a luxury car while crossing the road.
The incident took place on August 16 at around 3 pm. The deceased, identified as Bharathi Mukhi, worked at the Lifestyle store inside Inorbit Mall. According to the complaint, she and her colleague Pooja Ashok Alon had gone to the ITC Kohenur area to collect food and were returning to the mall when the accident occurred.
Police said Bharathi was crossing the road in front of the mall when an Aston Martin bearing registration number TG 09 G 0666 hit her. She suffered serious head injuries in the collision.
Bharathi was taken to Apollo Hospitals in Jubilee Hills in the same vehicle. Doctors examined her but declared that she had already died from her injuries. Her colleague later informed the store manager, who reached the hospital and subsequently approached the police.
Based on the complaint filed by the store manager, Madhapur police registered a case against Sanjoosh under Section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The complaint alleges that the car was being driven at high speed and in a negligent manner when it struck Bharathi.
The Aston Martin involved in the accident is reportedly registered in the name of Honor Prime Housing LLP. Madhapur ACP C. Sridhar said notices had been issued in connection with the case and that no arrest had been made so far.
The case is reportedly bailable, and the investigation is continuing. Police are expected to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision and establish the sequence of events leading to the woman’s death.
