The special arrangement helped medical teams move a heart and lungs quickly between two major hospitals, ensuring that precious time was not lost during the transplant process.

The organs were transported from CARE Hospital in Gachibowli to KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad. With the support of metro authorities and coordinated planning, the medical team successfully covered the nearly 14 kilometre journey in just 25 minutes.

Officials said the green corridor was created to ensure uninterrupted movement during the emergency, allowing doctors to deliver the organs within the critical time required for transplantation.
