Woman Beheaded in Bihar After Dispute Over Delayed Meal Accused Arrested

A gruesome murder has shocked residents of Bihar’s Jehanabad district, where a 25 year old woman was allegedly beheaded by her brother in law following an argument over a delayed meal. Police have arrested the accused and launched a detailed investigation into the incident.

The crime took place in Imadpur village under the jurisdiction of the Parsa Bigha Police Station. According to preliminary findings, the victim, identified as Anshu Devi, was alone at home when the incident occurred. Other members of the family had reportedly gone to nearby agricultural fields for paddy transplantation work.

Investigators said the accused, identified as Kunal Kumar, returned home from work and asked for food. Police believe a heated argument broke out after the meal was served later than he expected. The verbal dispute quickly escalated into a violent attack.

During the confrontation, the accused allegedly used a sharp edged weapon to assault Anshu Devi, resulting in her death. In a particularly disturbing act, he is also accused of severing her head after the murder.

The incident came to light when villagers noticed a severed head hanging from a banyan tree on the outskirts of the village. Shocked by the discovery, local residents immediately informed the police, who rushed to the spot and secured the area.

Police recovered the victim’s body and sent it for a postmortem examination to determine the exact cause and sequence of injuries. Officers also seized the weapon allegedly used in the crime as part of the ongoing investigation.

The accused was taken into custody shortly after the incident. Investigators are questioning him to establish the full sequence of events and determine whether any additional factors contributed to the crime.

The brutal nature of the murder has left the local community in shock. Residents described the incident as deeply disturbing and expressed disbelief that a family dispute could end in such extreme violence.
