Seven Andhra Pradesh Collectors Chosen for Governor’s Gold Medals

Seven district collectors in Andhra Pradesh have been selected for Governor’s Gold Medals in recognition of their support for Indian Red Cross Society services and community welfare activities.

The awards will be presented by the Governor at the annual general meeting of the Andhra Pradesh branch of the Indian Red Cross Society, scheduled for September 1 at Tummalapalli Kalakshetra in Vijayawada.

The collectors selected for the honour include West Godavari Collector Chadalavada Nagarani, Nellore Collector Himanshu Shukla and Bapatla Collector Vinod Kumar. Krishna Collector D K Balaji, Kakinada Collector M N Harendhir Prasad, Srikakulam Collector Swapnil Dinkar and Nandyala Collector G Rajakumari are also on the list.

The decision was finalised at a recent general meeting of the Indian Red Cross Society. The collectors were recognised for helping coordinate Red Cross programmes at the district level and supporting services aimed at the public.

The recognition highlights the role played by district administrations in strengthening humanitarian and community service programmes. The award ceremony in Vijayawada is expected to bring together officials and representatives associated with the Red Cross movement in the state.
