Ram Temple Donation Theft Investigation Intensifies
The investigation into the Ram Temple donation theft case has gathered momentum as fresh details continue to emerge. According to information shared during the police probe, Champat Rai allegedly identified Tinnu Yadav as the central figure behind the alleged theft of temple donations.
Tinnu Yadav Accused of Leading the Alleged Conspiracy
Sources close to the investigation said Ram Shankar Yadav, popularly known as Tinnu Yadav, had previously worked as Champat Rai’s driver. During questioning, Rai is said to have acknowledged that Tinnu Yadav played a key role in the alleged conspiracy behind the donation theft.
Investigators also suspect that before his arrest, Tinnu Yadav leaked information about the case to a leader associated with the Samajwadi Party. Police are examining whether the alleged information leak had any impact on the investigation.
Eight Arrested in Connection With the Case
Police have arrested eight people in connection with the alleged donation theft. The accused include Tinnu Yadav, Avinash Shukla, Anukalp Mishra, Love Kush Mishra, Manish Kumar Yadav, Karunesh Pandey, Ram Shankar Mishra, and Subhash Srivastava. Officials are continuing to question the accused and verify their individual roles in the case.
Champat Rai’s Statement Recorded
As part of the ongoing investigation, police have also recorded Champat Rai’s statement. However, officials have not disclosed where or when he was questioned or how long the interaction lasted. Investigators reportedly sought documents and information related to the handling and management of temple donations.
Resignations Followed the Controversy
Soon after the donation theft case came to light, Champat Rai resigned from his position as General Secretary of the Ram Temple Trust on June 27. Trustee Anil Mishra also stepped down, marking a significant development as the investigation continues.
