Rajahmundry Medico Priyanka Remains Critical as Doctors Prepare for Apnea Test

Rajahmundry medical student Priyanka continues to remain in a critical condition following a devastating road accident. She has been receiving treatment on ventilator support at a hospital in Hyderabad, with doctors closely monitoring her condition.

The accident reportedly occurred near Prasad Aditya Mall in Rajahmundry when a car driven by a group of allegedly intoxicated youths collided with a scooter carrying medical students Priyanka and Durga Venkata Sai. Priyanka suffered severe head injuries in the crash and was subsequently shifted from Rajahmundry to Hyderabad for advanced medical care.

Doctors are now preparing to conduct an apnea test as a crucial part of the medical assessment. The test is expected to help determine whether Priyanka has any remaining brain function while she remains in a coma. The medical team is expected to discuss the results with her parents after the examination.

Priyanka has been fighting for her life for the past six days, with her condition described as extremely critical. Her treatment team continues to provide intensive care while assessing her neurological condition.

The issue of organ donation has also been discussed with Priyanka’s family. Doctors at the hospital have reportedly counselled her parents several times about the possibility of donating her organs if she is medically declared brain dead.

According to the available information, the family is considering organ donation as a way to help save other lives if doctors ultimately confirm that Priyanka has suffered brain death. For now, the family continues to await the results of the medical evaluation and hopes for clarity about her condition.
