Pune Murder Shock: Pune Cliff Death Turns Into Murder Case as Fiancée and Her Boyfriend Arrested

Pune Murder Shock: Police investigating a cliff death near Pune uncovered an alleged murder plot leading to the arrest of the victim's fiancée and her boyfriend this week.

Pune Murder Shock: What was initially believed to be a tragic accident near Pune has now emerged as an alleged murder case. Police have arrested a young woman and her boyfriend after concluding that a 26 year old businessman was deliberately pushed into a deep valley rather than falling accidentally.

The victim, Ketan Agarwal, lost his life on June 18 after plunging nearly 400 feet into a gorge near the historic Lohagad Fort. At first, investigators were told that strong winds caused him to lose balance while taking photographs during a trekking trip organized to celebrate a birthday.

However, as the investigation progressed, officers reportedly noticed inconsistencies in the statements provided by Ketan’s fiancée, Siya Goyal. This prompted a deeper probe, including an examination of digital evidence and mobile phone records.

According to police findings, the incident was allegedly planned in advance. Investigators believe Siya and her boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary, worked together to push Ketan into the valley and later attempted to present the death as an accidental fall.

Ketan was a director in his family’s real estate business based in the Gahunje area near Pune. His wedding with Siya had already been fixed, and preparations for the ceremony were reportedly underway on a grand scale.

Authorities revealed that a palace in Udaipur had been booked for the wedding at a reported cost of Rs 17 crore. Arrangements had also been made for two aircraft to transport guests attending the celebrations scheduled for November.

Police officials stated that Siya had become engaged to Ketan due to family expectations while allegedly continuing her relationship with Chetan. Investigators suspect that the two carefully planned the crime and called Chetan to the Lohagad area to carry out the act.

Officials further indicated that there may have been previous unsuccessful attempts to harm Ketan before the fatal incident. The investigation remains ongoing as police continue gathering evidence related to the case.
