POK Leader Appeal: POK Leader Sardar Aman Khan Seeks India’s Help Amid Pakistan Crackdown

POK Leader Appeal: POK Action Committee leader Sardar Aman Khan urged India to provide humanitarian assistance, claiming Pakistan's crackdown and economic blockade have triggered severe shortages and growing public unrest across the region.

POK Leader Appeal: A prominent leader from Pakistan occupied Kashmir has appealed to India for humanitarian assistance, alleging that Pakistan’s administration has pushed the region into a deep humanitarian crisis through economic restrictions and security crackdowns.

Sardar Aman Khan, a leader of the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee, made the remarks during a public gathering in Rawalakot. He claimed that residents are facing severe shortages of food and essential supplies and urged that border crossings be opened to allow humanitarian support to reach affected people.

Addressing the gathering, Khan said the people of the region have been peacefully demanding basic rights but alleged that the authorities responded with force instead of dialogue. He also suggested that if conditions continue to worsen, people should be allowed to cross into India through the Poonch sector.

The movement initially focused on local issues such as subsidized wheat flour, lower electricity charges and economic reforms. However, Khan alleged that Pakistan later declared the action committee an unlawful organization and intensified action against its members.

He further claimed that several protesters had been killed during the unrest and accused the authorities of suppressing democratic voices. According to him, many residents are now openly demanding greater political freedom and expressing dissatisfaction with Pakistan’s governance in the region.

The remarks have drawn attention as they come amid continued unrest in Pakistan occupied Kashmir, where demonstrations over economic hardship and governance issues have been reported in recent months. No official response from Pakistani authorities regarding Khan’s latest statements was immediately available.
