PM Modi Urges Amarnath Pilgrims to Follow Five Key Resolutions During Yatra
Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to Amarnath Yatra pilgrims to maintain cleanliness, follow safety guidelines, and support Jammu and Kashmir’s local economy through responsible and meaningful participation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to devotees undertaking the Amarnath Yatra to observe five important resolutions that promote safety, cleanliness, and support for local communities. He said every pilgrim can contribute to making the sacred journey more meaningful through responsible actions.
The Prime Minister first urged pilgrims to keep the Yatra route clean and protect the natural environment by avoiding littering. Maintaining cleanliness, he said, is a shared responsibility that will help preserve the region’s beauty.
He also advised devotees to strictly follow the instructions issued by the administration and security forces throughout the pilgrimage. Adhering to official guidelines will help ensure a safe and smooth journey for everyone.
Highlighting the ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative, Modi encouraged pilgrims to allocate at least 10 percent of their travel spending to purchasing locally made products from Jammu and Kashmir. He said this would directly support the livelihoods of local artisans, traders, and families while strengthening the region’s economy.
