Petrol Bomb Hurled at BJP Office in Punjab Police Launch Investigation

A petrol bomb attack was reported late Monday night at the Bharatiya Janata Party office in Sangrur, Punjab, prompting a major police investigation. Authorities reached the scene soon after receiving information and have launched efforts to identify and arrest those involved in the incident.

According to police officials, unidentified individuals allegedly threw a bottle filled with petrol at the party office. Speaking about the incident, SP Devinder Atri said the police acted immediately after receiving the alert. He confirmed that the object thrown at the office appeared to be a beer bottle filled with petrol and used as an improvised petrol bomb. Police teams have started reviewing CCTV footage from cameras installed around the BJP office and nearby areas. Investigators believe the surveillance recordings could help trace the movements of the suspects before and after the attack and provide crucial leads in the case.

An FIR has been registered against the unidentified attackers, and officials have assured that strict legal action will be taken once those responsible are identified. Security in the surrounding area has also been strengthened as a precaution while the investigation continues.
