Pawan Kalyan Orders Strong Safety Measures for Devotees on Tirumala Alipiri Footpath

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Forest and Environment Minister Pawan Kalyan has directed officials to take immediate and comprehensive measures to ensure the safety of devotees using the Tirumala Alipiri footpath. His instructions came after reports of a leopard being spotted near the pilgrimage route.

Officials informed the Deputy Chief Minister that the wild animal was seen near the Dorasani Mandapam area along the Alipiri walkway. Responding without delay, Pawan Kalyan stressed that the safety of pilgrims should remain the highest priority and that every possible precaution must be taken to prevent any untoward incident.

He instructed the Forest Department, TTD Forest Wing, and Vigilance officials to work in close coordination and strengthen surveillance in vulnerable locations. He also directed authorities to deploy specially trained H A N U M A N teams in areas where leopard movement has been reported to enhance monitoring and respond quickly if required.

Pawan Kalyan further advised officials to keep devotees informed throughout their journey and encourage them to travel in groups instead of walking alone. He also asked authorities to clear dense bushes in sensitive stretches so that the pathway remains clearly visible and safer for pilgrims.

Emphasising the need to maintain confidence among devotees, he said security arrangements should not only ensure protection but also prevent unnecessary panic. He instructed officials to remain alert at all times and make sure the pilgrimage continues safely and peacefully for everyone.
