Husband Wife Murder: Husband Kills Wife Three Months After Marriage and Flees to Nepal With Lover

Husband Wife Murder: A chilling murder case has emerged from Haryana, where a 25 year old man and his alleged lover have been arrested for allegedly killing his wife just three months after their marriage. Investigators claim the crime was planned to remove what the accused believed was an obstacle to their relationship.

According to police, Ankit, a resident of Manesar, had been in a relationship with 38 year old beauty salon employee Rajni Devi for nearly three years. Despite getting married in February, the two allegedly continued their affair and later decided to eliminate his wife.

The investigation revealed that the accused had allegedly obtained an illegal firearm from Uttar Pradesh nearly two months before the crime. On May 21, Ankit reportedly took his wife to Rajni Devi’s rented room, where she was allegedly shot dead. Police later recovered the victim’s body with bullet injuries after her family reported her missing.

Following the murder, the accused allegedly fled through Haridwar before crossing into Nepal. They remained on the run for more than a month before returning to India on June 30, when the Gurgaon Crime Branch arrested both suspects.

Police produced the accused before a court, which granted five days of police custody for further questioning. Investigators are continuing efforts to recover the weapon allegedly used in the crime and gather additional evidence related to the murder.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and further details are expected to emerge as the interrogation progresses.
