Chandrababu Orders Action Against Private Coaching Centres

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to take strict action against private coaching centres that allegedly encourage competitive exam candidates to participate in protests against the government.

The government has reportedly taken the issue seriously after receiving information about some coaching centre managements allegedly putting pressure on students preparing for competitive examinations. Officials told the Chief Minister that candidates were being encouraged to take part in protests and other activities that could have political motives.

According to the government, some coaching centres may be using students for their own interests while they are supposed to be concentrating on their examinations and careers. The allegations have raised concerns about the environment in which young candidates are preparing for government and other competitive examinations.

Chandrababu Naidu reportedly made it clear that coaching institutions cannot use their position to influence students for political purposes. Officials have been asked to examine complaints and take action wherever institutions are found to be operating outside the prescribed rules.

The government has also referred to the Andhra Pradesh Coaching Institutions Regulation Rules 2026 and Government Order Number 9. Under these regulations, private coaching centres are expected to follow specific guidelines while providing training to candidates.

Officials have reportedly informed the Chief Minister that some institutions are allegedly ignoring these requirements and becoming involved in activities beyond their stated role as coaching providers. The government has taken a serious view of such conduct.

The issue is particularly sensitive because many students join coaching centres with the expectation of getting structured preparation for competitive examinations. Their focus is generally on classes, study material, mock tests and examination preparation. The government has indicated that students should not be pushed into activities unrelated to their academic goals.

Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to proceed according to law against institutions that violate the regulations. The government has also warned coaching centre managements against attempting to draw candidates into what it describes as politically motivated activities.

Officials are expected to examine the functioning of coaching centres and verify complaints before taking further steps. Any action will be based on the findings and applicable regulations.

The government has maintained that coaching institutions must operate within the framework prescribed for them. Institutions found violating the rules could face legal action, while authorities are expected to continue monitoring their activities.

The latest direction has put private coaching centres under closer scrutiny in Andhra Pradesh. For students preparing for competitive examinations, the government says the priority should remain their education and career rather than participation in political protests.
