An IndiGo flight scheduled to travel from Bengaluru to Ahmedabad was delayed after airport staff discovered a handwritten note claiming that a bomb was on board. The incident prompted an immediate security response at Kempegowda International Airport before the aircraft was cleared for departure.

According to police, the message was found inside the aircraft’s forward lavatory by a crew member shortly before takeoff. Following the alert, airport authorities activated standard security procedures and began a detailed inspection of the aircraft.

Security personnel thoroughly searched the plane and examined passengers’ safety areas. After completing the checks, officials confirmed that no explosive device or suspicious object was found, indicating that the warning was a hoax.

The airline later lodged a complaint with the airport police, stating that the false threat caused operational disruption and raised serious concerns regarding passenger and crew safety. The complaint requested authorities to identify the person responsible and initiate appropriate legal action.

Based on the complaint, police registered an FIR and launched an investigation. Officials are now examining the circumstances surrounding the incident and working to trace whoever left the handwritten note inside the aircraft.

Authorities have reiterated that every bomb threat is treated with the highest level of seriousness, even if it ultimately turns out to be false, to ensure the safety of passengers and aviation operations.
