Atiq Ahmed Family Suffers Another Tragedy as Son Dies in Road Accident
Aban Ahmed lost his life in a road accident near Jhansi while travelling to meet his jailed brother as police launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
Another tragedy has struck the family of former MP and gangster Atiq Ahmed after his younger son Aban Ahmed was killed in a road accident near Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh. The 21 year old was travelling from Prayagraj to meet his brother Ali Ahmed, who is currently lodged in Jhansi jail, when the accident occurred.
According to preliminary information, Aban was travelling in a Hyundai Creta with a group of friends. As the vehicle approached Jhansi, the driver reportedly attempted to avoid an animal that suddenly crossed the road. The car lost control and crashed into the road divider with great force.
Aban Ahmed and his friend Sonu died at the scene due to the impact of the collision. Three other occupants identified as Umar Ahmed, Mohammed Zaid, and Aslam sustained injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.
Local residents and police personnel reached the accident site soon after receiving information about the crash. Doctors confirmed the deaths of Aban and Sonu on arrival. Police have sent the bodies for postmortem examination and have started an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. Officials suspect that high speed may also have contributed to the crash.
The latest incident adds to a series of tragedies involving Atiq Ahmed’s family. Atiq Ahmed was killed in 2023, while his son Asad Ahmed died in a police encounter the same year. Another son, Ali Ahmed, remains in jail, and Umar Ahmed has also been involved in multiple criminal cases. Aban’s death in the road accident marks another tragic chapter for the family.
Police officials said the investigation is continuing from all possible angles and further details will emerge after the inquiry is completed.
