Andhra Pradesh Simplifies Ration Card Services

The Andhra Pradesh government has announced a series of measures to make ration card related services faster and more citizen friendly. The new initiative is expected to simplify processes such as adding or removing names and dividing ration cards, reducing the need for repeated visits to government offices.

The decision was discussed during a review meeting on Real Time Governance Society services held at the RTGS Command Control Centre in the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat. Minister Nara Lokesh directed officials to improve the efficiency of ration card services and ensure they are made available to the public without unnecessary delays.

The government is also focusing on speeding up the issuance of important certificates, including income and caste certificates. Officials have been instructed to remove procedural delays and deliver these services more efficiently to applicants across the state.

As part of its broader digital governance strategy, the government plans to complete the Data Lake project by the end of July. The platform is expected to integrate information from multiple government departments and improve the delivery of public services.

Minister Lokesh also stressed the need to create greater public awareness about Mana Mitra WhatsApp Governance services. Authorities have been asked to conduct a month long awareness campaign across the state so that more people can use digital government services with ease.

Currently, citizens can already access several government services through WhatsApp Governance, including ration related services and Aadhaar update requests. The government believes these digital initiatives will help save time, reduce paperwork and make public services more accessible for people across Andhra Pradesh.
