Abhijeet Dipke Returns to Jantar Mantar Protest After Hospital Treatment
Despite health complications and overnight medical treatment, Abhijeet Dipke resumed the Jantar Mantar protest, reaffirming his commitment to continue the campaign over the NEET paper leak issue.
Cockroach Janata Party founder Abhijeet Dipke returned to the protest site at Jantar Mantar on Friday morning after receiving overnight medical treatment, saying the movement would continue despite his health condition.
Dipke had been admitted to a hospital after suffering from high fever, body pain and physical weakness. Doctors administered intravenous fluids, medication and conducted medical tests before discharging him. Soon after leaving the hospital, he headed directly to the protest venue.
Speaking after rejoining the demonstration, Dipke said his physical condition would not prevent him from continuing the campaign. He maintained that the peaceful protest would continue until the demands raised by the organisation receive an appropriate response.
The protest, organised over the alleged NEET paper leak issue, has been demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The organisation has also called for stronger reforms to improve transparency in competitive examinations across the country.
Among its other demands, the group has sought compensation for the families of students who allegedly lost their lives following the examination controversy and has urged authorities to withdraw cases registered against students who participated in peaceful demonstrations.
The organisation also stated that, despite recent confrontations during protest marches in the national capital, it intends to continue its agitation through peaceful and democratic means. Supporters gathered once again at Jantar Mantar as the campaign entered another phase.
