Maruti Suzuki Announces Car Price Hike From August 2026

Maruti Suzuki will increase car prices from August 2026 citing higher production expenses rising raw material costs and inflation with select models expected to become costlier by up to Rs 30000.

Buying a new Maruti Suzuki car could soon become more expensive. The company has officially announced a fresh price revision that will take effect from August 2026. Depending on the model, customers may have to pay up to Rs 30000 more than the current prices.

According to the company, the decision has been driven by rising raw material costs, increasing manufacturing expenses and the continued impact of inflation. Maruti Suzuki said it has made efforts to improve operational efficiency and reduce production costs, but the growing financial burden has made a price increase unavoidable.

The company has not yet released the model wise price revision. However, the upcoming increase is expected to affect several of its popular vehicles, including the Alto K10, S Presso, WagonR, Swift, Dzire, Baleno, Brezza, Ertiga and Grand Vitara. Detailed pricing for individual models is expected to be announced closer to the implementation date.

This is the second price revision by Maruti Suzuki in a short period. The company had already increased vehicle prices in June 2026, citing the same reasons of higher input costs and manufacturing expenses. The latest announcement reflects the continued pressure faced by automobile manufacturers.

Industry observers note that Maruti Suzuki is not the only company adjusting prices. Other major automakers, including Tata Motors and Mahindra, have also announced price hikes due to rising production costs across the sector.

Customers planning to purchase a Maruti Suzuki vehicle may consider booking before the revised prices come into effect. However, whether buyers can avoid the increase will depend on the dealership’s booking policy, the booking date and the delivery schedule of the vehicle.

Since Maruti Suzuki remains one of the most preferred brands among middle class families in India, the latest price revision is expected to have a noticeable impact on budget conscious buyers looking to purchase a new car.
