Apollo Hospitals Profit: Apollo Hospitals Reports 38 Percent Rise in Q1 Profit

Apollo Hospitals posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 610.40 crore for the June quarter, marking strong annual growth as healthcare services and pharmacy revenue continued to rise.

Apollo Hospitals Profit: Apollo Hospitals has reported a strong performance for the first quarter of the current financial year, with consolidated net profit rising 38.4 percent compared with the same period last year.

The hospital chain posted a net profit of Rs 610.40 crore for the quarter ended in June. The improvement came alongside a noticeable increase in revenue across its major business segments.

Revenue from operations climbed to Rs 7,043.50 crore during the quarter from Rs 5,842.10 crore recorded in the corresponding period last year.

Healthcare services remained a major contributor to the company’s performance. Revenue from this segment increased to Rs 3,619.50 crore from Rs 2,973.80 crore a year earlier.

The digital health and pharmacy distribution business also recorded growth during the period. Revenue from this segment reached Rs 2,977 crore, compared with Rs 2,471.90 crore in the same quarter last year.

Apollo Hospitals reported revenue of Rs 499.50 crore from its diagnostics business during the quarter, adding to the company’s overall performance.

The healthcare major is also expanding its hospital network. A new facility being developed in Gurugram is expected to become operational during the third quarter of the current financial year.

The company is simultaneously working on new hospitals in Indore, Dwarka, Delhi Proton Centre and Ranchi. Expansion plans are also underway at its existing facilities in Indore and Guwahati.

Apollo Hospitals is looking at a much larger expansion over the coming years. The company plans to add around 5,800 beds to its network over the next five years.

The expansion is aimed at increasing the group’s capacity across key locations while strengthening its presence in healthcare services. New facilities and additional beds are expected to support the company’s long term growth as demand for organised healthcare continues to increase.

The quarterly numbers indicate that Apollo Hospitals is seeing growth across multiple parts of its business rather than relying on a single segment. Rising healthcare services income, stronger digital health and pharmacy distribution revenue and the planned expansion of its hospital network are expected to remain important areas for the company.
