Bihar Pensioner Stunned After Bank Account Displays Rs 759 Crore Balance
An elderly pensioner in Bihar was left speechless after checking his bank balance as a technical banking error displayed Rs 759 crore in both his and his son's accounts.

An unexpected banking glitch left an elderly pensioner in Bihar completely shocked after his account displayed an unbelievable balance of Rs 759 crore. The incident, which also affected his son’s account, has triggered an official investigation into a suspected technical error in the banking system.
The unusual case was reported from Muzaffarpur district, where 82 year old Kameshwar Mishra visited a nearby Common Service Centre to withdraw his monthly old age pension. After collecting the pension amount, he requested the staff to check the remaining balance in his account.
When the balance details appeared on the screen, everyone present was stunned. Instead of showing an ordinary account balance, the system displayed nearly Rs 759 crore in Mishra’s account. The unexpected figure immediately caught the attention of the CSC staff, who initially believed it could be a system malfunction.
The surprise did not end there. Mishra’s differently abled son, who had accompanied him, also asked for his account balance to be verified. To everyone’s disbelief, his account reflected almost the identical amount of Rs 759 crore, raising further questions about the banking system.
Realising the seriousness of the situation, CSC officials quickly informed the local police and the concerned bank authorities. Initial findings suggest the massive balance was caused by a technical issue in the banking server rather than an actual transfer of funds.
Officials and technical experts have now launched a detailed investigation to determine how the error occurred and whether any system malfunction or software issue was responsible for displaying such extraordinary amounts in both accounts.
