Nishan Fernando was the leading scorer for Sri Lanka XI, making 63 from 73 deliveries with 10 boundaries. Nipun Dhananjaya added 46 from 56 balls, while Anjala Bandara contributed 35 runs to strengthen the second innings total.
India’s bowlers managed to pick up six wickets before Sri Lanka XI brought the innings to an end. Gurnoor Brar and Ravindra Jadeja claimed two wickets each, while Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna took one wicket apiece.
The match has now reached its final day, with India needing 207 runs for victory. Around 45 overs remain in the game, leaving the Indian batting lineup with a limited window to pursue the target.
Earlier, Sri Lanka XI had declared their first innings at 363 for eight. India responded with 357 for six before declaring their own innings, keeping the contest closely balanced.
