Big August Two Wheeler Launches New Bikes and Scooters Buyers Are Waiting For

India two wheeler market is set for an exciting August with new electric scooters commuter bikes and sporty motorcycles arriving for different budgets and riding needs across the country this month

India’s two wheeler market is heading into an active month, with several manufacturers preparing to introduce new motorcycles and electric scooters. The upcoming launches are expected to cover everything from practical urban commuters to performance focused bikes and family oriented electric scooters.

For buyers planning to purchase a new two wheeler, the month could bring several options across different price segments. Manufacturers are focusing on fresh styling, improved equipment and electric mobility as competition in the Indian market continues to grow.

One of the expected arrivals is the E3 Trion electric scooter, which is scheduled to enter the market on August 6. The scooter is being positioned as an option for urban commuters and is expected to offer a claimed range of around 100 to 120 kilometres on a single charge.

The estimated price of the E3 Trion could fall between Rs 90,000 and Rs 1 lakh. If the final pricing remains within this range, the model could attract customers looking for an affordable electric scooter for regular city travel.

Bajaj Auto is also preparing another addition to its popular Pulsar family. The new generation Pulsar 125 has already been spotted during road testing, giving enthusiasts an early look at some of its design changes.

The upcoming Pulsar 125 is expected to feature an LED headlamp, split seat arrangement and monoshock suspension. Its estimated price could start at around Rs 95,000 and extend to approximately Rs 1.05 lakh, depending on the variant.

Bajaj Auto could also introduce an updated Pulsar 150 as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations. The company has yet to reveal all the details, but an anniversary edition could bring styling or equipment changes aimed at keeping the popular motorcycle competitive.

Electric scooter buyers will have another important option to consider later in the month. Ather Energy is preparing to launch a new mass market family focused electric scooter on August 29.

The upcoming Ather model is based on the company’s EL platform and has been designed with everyday family use in mind. A spacious seat and larger floorboard are expected to make it more practical for regular commuting.

The scooter is reportedly expected to deliver more than 150 kilometres of range on a single charge. Its estimated price could be positioned between Rs 1.15 lakh and Rs 1.40 lakh, placing it in a segment where competition among electric scooter makers is already strong.

Performance motorcycle enthusiasts may also have something new to look forward to. Yamaha is expected to introduce the YZF R2 sports bike on August 27. The motorcycle is reportedly being developed with a 200 cc liquid cooled engine.

The expected price is around Rs 2 lakh to Rs 2.30 lakh. If launched at this level, the Yamaha model could appeal to younger riders and enthusiasts looking for a relatively compact sports motorcycle with a stronger performance focus.

Honda has already introduced its 2026 CB350, CB350RS and CB350C models in the Indian market, with sales expected to begin during August. The motorcycles receive new colour choices and updated graphics while continuing with the familiar mechanical package.

The three models continue to use a 348.36 cc engine and are positioned in a segment that includes popular motorcycles such as the Royal Enfield Classic 350. The Honda range is expected to compete by combining retro inspired styling with modern equipment and everyday usability.

With several new motorcycles and electric scooters lined up, August could be an important month for two wheeler buyers. Customers considering a purchase will have more choices, particularly across affordable electric scooters, commuter motorcycles and entry level performance bikes.

However, launch dates, prices, specifications and claimed range figures can change before the vehicles officially reach dealerships. Buyers should therefore check the final details from the respective manufacturers before making a purchase decision.
