Microsoft Plans AI Super App as Copilot Expands Beyond Chatbot
Microsoft Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella says Copilot is evolving into an AI Super App, marking the company's next phase of artificial intelligence innovation and digital productivity.

Microsoft is preparing to take its artificial intelligence platform to the next level with the development of an AI Super App, signaling a broader vision for how users interact with AI powered services. The announcement was made by Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella while presenting the company’s latest quarterly financial results.
According to Nadella, Copilot is no longer being viewed as just a conversational chatbot. Instead, it is gradually transforming into a comprehensive AI platform capable of handling a much wider range of personal and professional tasks. He described this transition as an important milestone in Microsoft’s long term AI roadmap and indicated that additional details would be shared in the future.
The company believes the upcoming AI Super App will allow users to complete multiple activities from a single intelligent platform rather than relying on separate AI applications. Microsoft expects the expanded capabilities to make everyday digital work more efficient and simplify how people use artificial intelligence.
During the earnings announcement, Nadella also highlighted Microsoft’s strong financial performance. He said the company generated annual revenue exceeding 331 billion dollars, while its cloud business contributed 214 billion dollars. He added that Microsoft’s overall revenue has now reached a level comparable to the projected size of Egypt’s economy in 2025.
For the quarter ending June 30, Microsoft reported net income of 35.8 billion dollars, reflecting continued growth driven by cloud services and artificial intelligence investments.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics also announced one of the strongest financial performances in its history. The South Korean technology company reported an operating profit of 62 billion dollars, helping boost investor confidence. Following the announcement, South Korea’s KOSPI benchmark index gained more than 4 percent in trading.
The latest announcements from Microsoft and Samsung underline the growing importance of artificial intelligence and cloud technology in driving both business expansion and investor optimism across the global technology industry.
