Burj Khalifa Introduces UPI Ticket Booking for Indian Tourists

Indian tourists planning a trip to the United Arab Emirates now have a more convenient way to book tickets for the iconic Burj Khalifa. Visitors can purchase entry tickets online using the Unified Payments Interface UPI making the booking process simple even before travelling to Dubai.

With this move Burj Khalifa has become the first attraction in the UAE to accept UPI for ecommerce ticket purchases. The service has been introduced through a partnership between NPCI International Payments Limited NIPL NEOPAY and Emaar Entertainment to offer Indian travellers a seamless digital payment experience.

Travellers can visit the official Burj Khalifa website and complete their ticket booking using any supported UPI application. The new system allows visitors to confirm their tickets in advance without relying on international cards or other payment methods.

UPI based QR code payments have already been available across the UAE since 2022 through the NEOPAY merchant network. The latest expansion now extends the same payment convenience to online bookings allowing Indian visitors to plan their trips more efficiently.

NIPL Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Ritesh Shukla said Indian travellers prefer using familiar and trusted payment options while travelling abroad. He added that the new facility enables them to reserve Burj Khalifa tickets before arriving in the UAE using their preferred UPI apps.

NEOPAY Chief Executive Officer Vibhor Mundhada said the company is the first in the Gulf region to introduce UPI enabled ecommerce payments. Emaar Entertainment also noted that Indian tourists form one of its largest international visitor groups and the new booking option is expected to make their travel experience smoother and more convenient.
